How to achieve your dreams
This may sound cliché, but it is absolutely true: never give up on your dreams. Successful people that achieve what they want in life understand the power of dreams. A dream is a vision of what you want, of where you want to be. It is a mental picture that you should carry with you at all times. All great achievements start with a vision, or a dream.
The timing of when your dream will come true is unpredictable. And yes, there are no guarantees that your dream will come true at all. But there certainly are ways to increase your chances of making your dreams come true.
One of the simplest and yet most powerful ways to dramatically increase your chances of making your dream come true is this…. Are you ready?… write it down.
Yes, write it somewhere where you can see it often, whether it is on a piece of paper that you carry in your wallet, on a smart phone, or on your computer, but have your dreams close to you at all times. And once in a while take a look at it. You don’t have to do anything with it, or come up with an immediate plan on how to achieve your dream. Sure, if you are in a position to create a step by step action plan on how to achieve your dreams, all the better. But sometimes you just don’t know. Sometimes you have no idea about how you could possibly achieve your dream. That is OK. Just look at it. Contemplate the possibility of one day fulfilling that dream.
Your mind is extremely powerful. You only use a small percentage of your mind’s power, and science still doesn’t fully understand the power of the human mind. Yet there is plenty of evidence that the mind can work in amazing ways. By keeping that dream written down and close to you so that you can look at it once in a while you are sending a message to your subconscious mind that that is the direction of where you want to go. You don’t quite know how to get there yet, but let you mind figure it out in its own way and in its own time.
Some day something will click. It could be a conversation with a friend. It could be an article that you read. It could be a totally unexpected event. Who knows what is going to trigger you finding a way to achieve your dream? The important thing is for that dream to be always on your mind so that when you see an opportunity to get closer to that dream you will immediately recognize it. Your mind will send you a signal and will show you the way of how you should pursue the opportunity.
Now, keep in mind that I am not talking about “The Secret” kind of stuff here. Don’t fool yourself into believing that if you just wish something that it will “magically” happen. That is not it at all. What I am talking about here is letting you subconscious mind know what you want by reminding it constantly, so that it will recognize it when an opportunity arises that will take you in the direction of your dream.
Even if you are skeptical, you should try this. It won’t cost you anything. The only thing you have to do is be willing to try it and be patient. Patience is critical because it may take several years for your dream to come true. But the day it happens, and you see that the thing you wrote down several years back actually came true, you will start to wonder. Would this have happened otherwise?
